WHAT TO EXPECT

A Little About The Process...

As a Life+Purpose Coach, my mission is to see you be more fulfilled than you have ever been, by connecting you to your purpose and passion in this life. So many people are seeking more happiness, but don’t have the knowledge or skills of how to get there. Often we simply resign ourselves to how things are and settle for less than, but it doesn’t have to be this way. I know you dream of greater things. I know you are frustrated with the way things are and disappointed in yourself that you have not been able to make the shift you long to make. I’ve been there…it sucks!

But don’t be hard on yourself, because successfully making a transition like this, from unfulfilled to deeply fulfilled, is a major personal transformation. It’s not to be sneezed at, that’s for sure…! The security, familiarity and predictability of your existing life can be very seductive.

So, what can one expect from such a big transformative process? And what does one need to bring to the party, so to speak?

Let’s be super clear, so we are on the same page.

What does it mean to transform?

Transform = To change in composition or structure; to change in outward form or appearance; or to change in character or condition. (Merriam-Webster Dictionary)

Transformation.
The process of transforming or being transformed. A complete or major change in someone’s form or appearance…the act or process of changing completely. A complete change.

You are seeking to transform or you wouldn’t be here.

What are the ingredients of transformation?
1. A willing and engaged participant; someone ready to transform into a new identity or version of themselves.
2. An experienced and supportive guide (inner or outer); an awareness facilitator.
3. A transformative agent, usually an obstacle, constraint or difficulty of some sort.

Let’s take a look at each of these elements in a bit more detail, because that will give you a feel for the process of coaching that you will undertake with me.




1. A Growth Mindset
This is the first ingredient. Mindset is everything. If you do not believe you can change in the direction your choosing, then change will never occur.
You must want to grow and believe you are capable of growth.
You are ready to grow right now and willing to let go of an outdated version of yourself.
You know who you want to become, and you believe you can transform into this person.

 

2. An Awareness Facilitator
An awareness facilitator sees what needs to be seen, and does not see good or bad; right or wrong.
This role is shared.
As your coach and mentor, I hold this role for you throughout our work together.
But you also hold this role. And your body, especially holds this role Why. Because the body never lies and will always direct us lovingly and appropriately if we stop and listen.
Through the process, you use and expand your awareness and attention, to enable you to move through the obstacles or challenges on your path.

 

3. A Transformative Agent.
The thing that seems to be in your way.
Can be internal or external. Can be a thing or a person. A mood. An event. An injury. Anything.
The agent is the thing that must be understood, accepted and integrated in order for transformation to occur.
The power, knowledge, skills or learning you require in order to change, are bound up with the ‘obstacle’.
